Hopefully not too contentious a subject.

As with so many things lots of important details to their inner workings obscured to those not directly and intimately involved in the fray.

From someone looking outside and far, far away it seems to be working. They've prevailed through the pandemic and attendant supply chain problems and perhaps qualified labor shortages as well (and a fire).

Remember PBG (Premier Builders Guild)? 2009-2016 R.I.P. I don't know all the specifics of their demise.

Only wishing B.A.D. the very best for a long and prosperous journey. Probably more challenging times for them (and most all similar businesses) today then PBG had as it were.

What do you think?

For all they have been through the past couple years (covid, fires, other things) it's hard not to root for them.

Bogner pedals, Bogner cabs, Cameron cabs, Friedman cabs (not Bogner amps)

Splawn builds his own cabs/headshells and amps.
So Soldano, Friedman, and Bogner still build their amps at their respective shops (i.e., not at BAD)?

They seem to be the much needed bridge between amp builder and end consumer. Seems like nearly all brands fuck up at some point, but they seem to still be holding quality and production to a high standard, which is something even fender and Marshall can’t seem to grasp all the time. I can’t count how many brands have gone up in smoke because of poor business practices. Wish them all the best.

I'd hire that engage757 guy that used to work for Fortin. He knows how to create a link between a consumer and builder!

Some people noticed that 6PS caps on new SLO were replaced with cheaper 715. Don’t know if it is a usual thing or not, but I wouldn’t want that.

Might want to check your information, the 6PS is the cheaper of the two capacitors though it's not a massive difference.

I googled and it shows 1,28 euros for 715 and 1,69 for 6PS.

That’s surprises me even more. Why they would do that? People who told me were concerned more about change from polyester to polyproylene.

As you see, I am not even remotely experienced in tech part, so take all I say in this regard with a big bag of salt lol

Weird, I was checking Mouser. In the US it's the other way around just using a .022 for reference. The original SLO also used various caps over it's lifetime.
