Somewhere out there, in the infinite darkness, there has to be some sort of life. No way we are alone. And the fact that we are such a young civilization compared to the potential life forms that could have existed for a few billion years at this point is nuts. Can you imagine what we could achieve in just a million years from now?! How many einstenian types would be born in that period?! If there is long term life out there, they can leap across huge swaths of time and space. The worst thing about dying is missing out on the miraculous developments over the coming millennia. But, at the same time, we are so insanely lucky to have been born in this era. The average lifespan is so much longer than even a hundred years ago. They can cure so many things that would have annihilated us in just the recent past. We are super lucky.
