Banned members

Anyone ever wonder how people got banned? The mods cant tell you for privacy reasons. But some people may witness. Anyone know what happened with madnotez or dino 939?
 
I don't think Madnotez actually got banned. If he did, he may have got caught up in a group banning or something back when the moderation was tighter. He then came back as 'Formally Known As Madnotez' as well as a number starting with an 8 IIRC and he is not at all banned at the moment that I am aware of. He may have just chosen not to post here any more and may or may not be into playing/gear not sure :dunno: I did PM him some time back and did not hear anything.

Dino was straight up banned due to something he may have said but don't quote me on that.

Who else do you want to know about?
 
madnotez disappeared for a while, got hacked where that dude tried to sell something, then he came back and disappeared again

Yeah, he left and came back several times but not sure that he was actually ever banned. It was something more like a group ban or he asked to be banned. He sold off all his gear at one point. Hacked at a dude? - are talking about Fortin/Engage?

Agreed. I'm going to have to guess it was something not visible to the public forum.

And remember, most bans around here are not perma bans. They are 'take a break' temp bans.

no, someone hacked him and listed something in the classifieds, i think it was a mills cab for stupid cheap which i was gonna buy, then someone saw it was a picture from another ad somewhere and when questioned the dude just said "the sale continutes" lol, then madnotez came back when he was informed of the hacking on another forum and i dont know what happened after that

I don't know why Dino was banned but I can guess.

He failed to respond to my numerous calls for apologies to myself, other members and Steve.

Small example:

One of several

We also tried to contact him via PM but he ignored that too. If I had to guess it'd be that he ignored notifications completely.

As for banning, well, if you disrespect the mods that'll earn you a spot in the sin bin at the very-least.

I guess he was picking a fight there. I try not to start fights on people's classifieds...though gets free bumps
