"Can we just start debating like real grown ups, please?"

The optimism in me says it's a good question regardless of who asks it.

It does draw out the typical acrimony, but in a strange stew of ironies.

This.......could be interesting.
Being a Mod you can see who really is shitting the bed here and the OP is ONE of them.

Yes, a good question but it doesn't excuse their behaviour nor should there be no consequences for it.

Respectfully....we can all choose to do something different today. Hopefully it will be better, and not worse than yesterday.

Lets see where choices take things today.

I never give up hope.

You should go back and read many of my threads/posts where there is an attempt at discussion and reasoning and you'll see time and time again the contrary responses and childish antagonistic behaviour. While you're at it see how many discussive threads I create in comparison to the regular trouble makers.

Go back and see who actually 'contributes' to this board verses who antagonizes every thread and post. White balls on a black dog.

This is the typical MO of these kind of people....Deflect by blaming others for exactly what they're doing. The current trick out of the book.

In fact, this thread by the OP is antagonistic and is one of so many examples of the troll baiting.

Ask yourself WHY the threads dive into the shit heap.
You posted without calling someone a fag, without saying they were retarded, etc. And you even used a proper ellipsis. I challenge you to keep this up.

Legend of Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom

Is it too similar to Breath of the Wild, given it’s 6 year development?

Well, seeing as I know absolutely nothing at all about the game, its backstory, its development history,
the game's hardware platform, or anything at all about the gaming industry in general....

Allow me to opine;

No. It's simply getting harder and harder to incorporate novel aspects into next generation games.
Until the hardware develops to its next generation of user experience I'd expect similar delays, and
with similar hints of redundancy even after the long waits.

Hope this helps! (y)

Yesterday was Gittler titanium and Boss SY-1000 day, working on Allan Holdsworth tones (not playing skills).

old picture of the rig, not using the looper now:

You are right on for some of that actually. This wasn’t a “next gen” game. Also in general, Nintendo hasn’t been overly interested in putting out the “next big thing”

Xbox, PlayStation and PC are always fighting for the most “realistic” graphics and horsepower. Nintendo goes for the user experience.

BOTW was a total gamechanger for the franchise and one of the most highly regarded games in history. Tears of the Kingdom was written as a sequel to it, so obviously there are going to be a lot of parallels between the 2.

I only really played that OG Zelda shit. I couldn’t really get into Zelda 2 with all that side view and jumping and throwing swords and crap.
Zelda ii did not have many fans. After that it sort of created a “formula” for how the games would be designed, and that’s what fans fell in love with for 30 years.
Then gaming changed and “open world” became popular. Nintendo realized the OG Zelda was basically “open world” before that was even a thing, so they made BOTW huge and open and said “here ya go, wander around until you findsomething, feel free to interact with anything you come across”.

It lost the linear story based formula thatZelda became known for, but gained a breed of modern players looking for GTA type game play

The childish shit is old.

Can we please have real adult debates? This place could be so much more without the juvenile garbage.
The problem I see is the spill-over from comments in other threads. I think if people will stop with the garbage everywhere this place can get cleaned up… remember that next time the temptation is there to respond with a Trump or MAGA gif/pic or thread… yeah I know it takes two to tango but we all have to start somewhere if we want the garbage poasting and comments to stop.

And it will probably never stop but we can minimize it if we ALL try.

Yes I act immature and sling shit at times but 98 percent of the time it's in retaliation to others. I don't typically start shit. And only idiots play Zelda, @Aynirar27 .

So “I may be bad but they are worse!!”?

Regardless the why, you are participating in the childish back and forth you are bemoaning in this thread.
