cool. Will give that a try today.
Lol I’m total opposite of this. Channel 1 doesn’t get used. Presence to 6, depth almost dimed, density 3/4 of the way. Then if I’m running ultra gain down to about 4 with the boost. If I’m in Uber gain up to about 6 with boost. Treble live anywhere from noon to up to 3/4 or the way. Mids I scoop a bit, bass to about 6, same with the metamorph. Hair+ mode

Also worth mentioning I use the dv77 in my emperor oversized. Which are real similar to a creamback. Never tried red backs, really want to!

Also A# tuning.

Just curious. Since you have several Wizard amps which models do what style of music best

w800 is good for classic rock and hair metal with a boost. I like it for 70s era Kiss type stuff.
MC/MC2 is good for classic rock, hard rock, hair/thrash metal with a boost. I like it for Tool and Metallica type stuff
MTL - good for hard rock and metal. I like it for all types of metal
Hell Razor - best for more extreme metal where you want a ton of gain. Definitely voiced for that style. Think it would suit low tunings better as well, but I generally just play in D.

There is some overlap between the models. I think the MC2 or MTL make a good all around amp if you only had one. Main difference between them really comes down to amount of gain and saturation and voicing in the mids.

If you want more clarity from the UU, try it in channel 1 Uber mode with the Bright switch on. Channel 2 is a good bit darker and less articulate than Channel 1, even with the Ch2 Bright switch on and the Metamorph on Tight and turned to high effectiveness (counter clockwise).

Yes. This does sound much better that way. I love the brighter, more crisp tone.

I'm mostly in D.

Tried your settings. I like them, but I have to tone down the depth to about 1:00, same for Density. I like a brighter tone, so I tend to run presence up a bit...3:00 and the treble varies. I like bright switches engaged at all time.

Hell yeah man! I’m sure difference in speaker changes things too. I’d need to a/b the red back and dv77 to see what the differences are. Seems like maybe a bit more presence to the dv77 naturally than the red? On the eq chart looks like it has a spike 2-4K, as opposed to the rounding of the red back, and has a sharp drop at 5k. I really need to get a cab loaded with some red backs. The dv77 is the only eminence speaker I think that’s worth a damn. All my other stuff is Celestion and my one off Albion.

I thought I'd hate the redbacks because all the comparison videos made them seem too dark, but they are perfect. My Wizard 412s with all Redbacks are my new favorite, supplanting the Fryette with the Fane F70s (though that's still a pretty killer cab too). I have 2 Wizard 412s loaded with v30s/Creamback H75s that sound really good too, but definitely brighter than the redback.

The DV77 is one I'd like to try, but I've never liked any Eminence speaker at all. Loathe them actually. lol.

Scumbacks are great too. I'll probably get more of those at some point as well.

Absolute same lol. Dv77 is the only one I use. I thought eminence was garbage before. Wouldn’t use any of their other speakers ATM.

Welcome to the club man!! Keep messing with it daily. You’ll constantly find new tones. The internal boost works great too surprisingly. You have to keep the presence in check in Ü and Hair mode. So far it’s been pairing well with every speaker and IR I’ve thrown at it. I love this amp.

Also forgot to mention I have some KT88’s on the way so I’m definitely looking forward to trying them mixed with EL34’s. I’ll be making comparison clips for that.

I have like 6 or 7 quads of KT88s. Which brand did you buy. I have Gold Lion, JJ and EH. Think maybe a Chinese quad too. The Wizards like JJs (or should I say Rick likes JJs). EH has always worked well in my Fryettes.

Ruby STRs. They are my favorite next to Gold Lions. JJs aren’t bad either but it depends on the amp as well. They make some amps sound like mush.

Nice. I've come to think of the Uber Ultra's channel 1 as the amp's more articulate, clear, touch sensitive Marshally type channel, and channel 2 as the bigger, fatter, more American / 5150 / Recto style channel.

I'd imagine channel 1 can get a lot closer to the Wizard's super tight and clear vibe than channel 2.
