Made the plunge today. Guitar Center carries the Roc N Soc Drum thrones and backrest. Inventory said they had two in stock, but as luck would have it, couldn't' find it so I got the floor model at a pretty good discount.

Anyway, just played for about 45 minutes on it and I can say that it's a winner. I am digging it. It feels great being able to lean back when playing and not worrying about the guitar hitting the armchair. So thanks for bringing up the subject.

Gotta love this place. Amazing that 24 hours ago drum thrones were the last thing I think I'd ever think about. Suddenly after hours of youtube views and research, IT WAS A MUST HAVE, my back was depending on it.

Good move. I went through the same thing a few years ago. I ended up doing the same thing.

I love roc n soc thrones. Pricey as hell though. Some day I will get one.

When it comes to finding a comfortable chair for playing guitar, there are various options to consider. An office chair with no arms can provide flexibility and support for your practice sessions. Alternatively, the soundseat you mentioned might offer specialized features tailored to guitar players.
Since this thread is a few years old, I'm sure you've already found a suitable chair by now. However, if you're still looking for more options, you can find more here. They have a variety of chairs that might suit your needs. Simply click here to explore their collection and see if anything catches your eye.

That's awesome. What is your favorite amp ever Nick and what do you currently use today?

I bought an office chair from Staples and it's very comfy. The arms can be lowered out of the way for playing and I raise them back up when I'm fiddling at my console.
Yep. I got this chair from Staples with the folding arms. I usually stand when playing because I do a lot of windmills but hey. Some day - I will be sitting more  The stripes was pure coincidence

PS: I miss Skullfx @skullfxr ?

I bought the recliner that the Geico Gecco accidently displayed in his yard sale . I think I'm going to go for an office chair though .

my kids bought me a cheap adjustable mechanics stool at walmart. I'm sure it would be great if I could ever remember to bring it in. Right now I'm using a broken computer chair....lol...
