NGD! Adam Jones Standard

I’ve been wanting to try one of these out and found a good deal on one. It’s better than I expected, the bridge pickup sounds great. The only thing I’m not liking and was surprised by is the frets, they’re way smaller and lower than any of my other LP’s. Is this a new trend from Gibson? Curious if anyone else here has one and how the frets are?

Yes this is normal. They switched to smaller frets somewhere around 2019?

The older customs all had small frets so it's in line with the original this was inspired by.

I got an ES335 that's perfect. But those AJ LPs are dogs. Lots of them out there totally jacked up.

Same here, It was worst I’ve ever seen…sent it right back

Bummer. I can't find any imperfections on this one and the weight is perfect coming in at 8.5lbs. The frets are just taking a little getting use to.
