Just shot out a pair of WGS Invaders with Scumback BM75LDs and GBs in my 4104.

In short, the Invader is a lot like a good, old G12-65. Lacks a lil detail and highs at quiet volumes, comes alive and opens up around 1.5 on the 4104 volume. Then it's pretty great. Low end is not as loose as GBs, not as bassy as the CB65.

GBs have a bit more zing, looser low end. Love them in the 4x12, especially with the SLO.

The BM75LD is similar, but with more grind and upper mid detail, tighter lows. Leaving those in the 4104 for now. Considering installing them in an x pattern with V30s in the Soldano 4x12.

The 4104 cab sucks the life out of all speakers. Makes em more middy and muddy unless really cranked. Really want to install that amp into a head cab.

i loved the invaders. i got them by in a used boogie 4x12, and planned on replacing them, but i kept them in because they sounded great.

That's interesting; the WGS ET65 is almost dead nuts to an early 80s 65; those are a little darker than the first 65 from 78/79, the Marshall labelled T3120. I wonder how close the Invader is to the ET65?

WGS has some good sounding speakers. I just wish they held together better at high volume.

Exactly...this is the only gripe I had with the ET 65s that I tried in an SLO combo. Great until I pushed the vol up to 3-4, then they would fart out a bit.
