Lock the thread 'cause "it's run its course"? You've got to be joking. Imagine if every thread that had "run its course" were to be locked; that'd be, what, thousands of 'em?

This is OTC. Yes, I know Brother Japetus locked 2 not long ago, but to his credit, he unlocked both of 'em.

Historically we don't delete or lock threads except in extremely-rare, exceptional cases, and that's how it should be.
