MURDERATOR
I noticed on the pedalboard thread that there are a few users on here besides me. Maybe we could talk shop or patches on here? As well as set ups and how you’re utilizing it. I’m having trouble with mine. I’m running a stereo rig with my tremoverb halfstack on the left and my ultra plus halfstack on the right. I’m using loop 3 to the tverb and loop 2 to the ultra. Fuckin rig sounds glorious. Then I noticed loop 2 was off. Only loop 3 was on. I turn on loop 2 and I lose some volume and gain as well as losing my chorus and verb from the ms3. Turn off loop 2 and boom….goes back to normal with the chorus swirling between both amps. I would assume with either loop turned off, the specific amp tied to that loop would be silent. It’s the opposite. When the second loop is on..to run both amps… weird stuff happens. Anyway-thought I would ask any of the homies their opinion….

Also the ultra is reproducing the tverbs signal….not it’s own preamp. Even though I have the ultra hooked up on its own loop with the right output of the ms3 going into the return of the ultra. That has me confused also. But 2 tremoverbs sounds glorious.

Sorry for the book here. I was utilizing loops 1 and 2 and nothing was working before. Was also using a patch I created that always worked in the past. For some reason nothing worked. Went to another patch and got sound….then switched loops and everything is working…weird shit…

Weird. Hard to troubleshoot intermittent issues like this but I’d like to ask - why don’t you go from the outputs? Left out to one amp and right output to another?

I haven’t used 2 amp setup with the loops. I have used L/R outs into 2 amps as I mentioned above.

I am doing that but going from each output into the return of each amp. I don’t think it would work going from the outputs to the inputs of the amps without using the loops. Would it? I have not tried that… I assume it would overdrive both amps and all the effects would be slamming the amps pre’s….make sense?

Yes. If you run the amps clean and use the distortions in the MS3 you have a very versatile stereo rig. I haven’t tried running 2 preamps in 2 of the loops.

I would like to see a MS3 users group though. I’ll post a pic of my board in the pedal board thread.

That’s my problem…I want to use my amps pre’s….it’s a little goofy right now but I have a massive sound going. Distorted or clean. But it also makes no sense how it’s working with the way it’s set up. But damn…when it’s dialed in….awesome…

And getting ready to complicate things a little bit more…. I have another head coming in soon. What is better than stereo? W/D/W…lol… never actually tried it and not sure if I can or not with the ms3….

had to delve into it deeper last night but got everything working...however it is completely counterintuitive to how I expect this ms3 unit to function. Turned everything on and was getting terrible ground hum from the tverb's red channel. I had my two channel ground lift eliminator hooked up between both amps from the ms3's outputs to the effect returns of each amp. I swapped it to between the ms3's sends(loops 2&3) to both amps inputs. Fixed it. Quiet. Also helped with quirky volume issues and some other odd noises. This is where it gets odd.....Tverb's in loop 3 and ultra plus is in loop 2. You should be able to switch between both amps or run them together by individually turning the loops off and on with the ms3. That's not working. With loop 3 on it sounds great. Awesome, clean, huge. Turn on lop 2 and lose some volume and gain, just sounds weird and weak. Not using loop 1 for anything and I turn it on and lose everything. No sound. I'm really confused by this.
