I think Jason (Headfirst) temporarily partnered with Shea (Monomyth) for the first run, American assembly, of his Alta amp line.........so we are never really safe, since that opens up a lot of possibilities.
Basically, we have these amp geniuses building alliances with each other now.

I have a MCII inspired 25 watter that Jason built up for me a few years back. It has trainwreck transformers and I asked for it to be built into a Marshall smallbox sized headshell so that all the controls (except contour) are on the front panel / easy to access. Absolutely killer amp. I can highly recommend his work and he’s a great guy to deal with too.

I bought an Alta directly from Jason earlier this year and other than adding an extra hundred or two in postage it was no big deal.
The Alta is amazing and Jason was awesome, wouldn’t hesitate to buy directly from him again.

I couldn't find that PCB on his website but did see he had another JCM board there. Those PCB prices aren't bad at all.

If you are in the U.S. Shea built them and shipped them out. But yeah we talked about doing a Cali awhile back. I'm happy with my Atla though. But I still wouldn't mind having a HF 800

I'm sure Jason will likely put out a vid showing what he did. The ST1 based board has some room for modification on board. Not to mention you could add the fet boost and other options.
I have a fully populated HF ST1 board waiting to go into a build I'm doing for a friend that had his amps stolen. I need to get the iron and pots and then I'm ready to finish it. I've done a couple 800 builds but for some reason the HF based builds always turn out better. I think these are easier than turret builds.

Hey guys, that 2204 was built using our ST1 style board. It’s got added depth control over a standard 2204 and the gain switch is changing the cathode setup of the 2nd gain stage. Ie it’s still a 3 stage plus cathode follower design, and no diodes. It’s punchy as.
The partnership with Shea is completely awesome, and mutually beneficial. For the Alta’s going forward we are building the majority of the amp here, shipping to Shea’s workshop to complete, and then onwards to end customer. We are building them continuously, rather than doing them in runs or batches.
