Huge shout out to @eclecticsynergy, @Dave M and @griff10672 for telling me how to wire this into this guitar. The process wasn't without incident and the cheap soldering iron I had bought burnt about a centimetre of skin off my middle finger. But the results were worth it, I think.

For this, I'm running the guitar into an Axe FXIII's Horizon Devices Precision Drive emulation back out into a VHT Valvulator GP3 then back into the Axe FX with a KT88 power amp emulation and some Dynacab IRs then straight to DAW with some reverb and an ATR-102 tape emulation on the output.

A huge plus point is that this looks so cool in this guitar. Matches well with the stock blade single coil pickup in the neck.

Glad you got it in, working well, and sounding good. Sorry to hear about your finger.
FWIW, I think nearly everyone got burned at least once when learning to solder.
Next time will be easier. And hopefully painless...

Feel glad it was only your finger ........... I've dropped my 790 degree Hakko on my lap a few times wearing nothing but basketball shorts ...

funny how when something is so hot it feels ice cold for the first few milliseconds ...

glad you got everything up and running

A momentary pain, and then it just seems alright, except the skin had been burnt clean off. You live, you learn.
