It’s not a Texas law. It’s a law in rural municipality that happens to be in Texas. Huge difference. Details matter.

Is that what 2A is about though? I may very well be mistaken but I always read it as a way to “balance the scales” so to speak against the power of the government vs it’s people.

If the argument for guns is self defense, specifically against other citizens, I think the amendment should be amended to show that rather than it’s original intent

and I also prefer using high velocity low weight ballistic tips for home defense. when they hit they pretty much explode on slight penetration. It negates bullets traveling thru multiple walls and hitting your neighbor or something. And I'm also big on contingency plans for different what if's.

the right of self defense and defense of property is a "natural" law. The 2a just affirms it. imo. we can discuss it at length but we will not change each others minds about it. I think we agree on more than you think. I don’t feel 2A needs to be changed for the sake of restricting guns, I think it needs it be changed to reflect modern times. Weaponry is very advanced now and needs better classification.

My personal views differ from that, however much as I preach here, my gut feeling about something doesn’t reflect my political view on it.
