COVID was not a cold. If it gets down to your lungs it can kill you or cause permanent fibrosis - it was many times worse than the flu. Following infectious disease protocols set out by government in collaboration with the medical profession when there's no vaccine to protect the population is not cowardice - it's commonsense. Our government listened to the subject matter experts and weren't swayed by uneducated morons who though they knew better because they believe anything they read on the internet. Who gets to decide? Governments. Our government decided. Your government did too. Your government decided that 1 million people could die because your society is a bunch of conspiracy theorists and governed by a constitution that was written by people with their noses out of joint.
