Derek Chauvin stabbed 22 times in prison

If the US can’t keep their prisoners safe from this type of thing maybe they shouldn’t be sent to prison. The US Government still has a duty of care to its prisoners - especially to ex-cops who are obviously targets. If they can’t be housed safely with the general prison population then bloody construct a prison for police prisoners or put them in home detention. So even if what he did was disgusting so is the US prison and judicial system.

lol…. I retired after 22years in the fbop…the feds are probably hands down the premier correctional organization in the world. This man has been set up to die. In all that time I have never seen a high profile ex l.e.o. Housed in an Fci or a pen…usually a camp or a low. They do have one institution primarily for chomo’s though….

I acknowledge that it's unethical for me to say/think this, but I wish he fucking died :)

Cause you think he killed Saint Floyd or what?
Fuck, I watched him kill the guy. Millions did.

Seems a bit silly to even suggest that it didn't happen. Even if you don't agree with Chauvin being stabbed, he clearly snuffed Floyd.

Seeing things on a screen doesn't make it real.

'Evidence Doesn't Match' Public Narrative

Ms. Sweasy said in her deposition that she talked with Hennepin County medical examiner Dr. Andrew Baker about Mr. Floyd’s autopsy.

“He called me later in the day on that Tuesday and he told me that there were no medical findings that showed any injury to the vital structures of Mr. Floyd’s neck. There were no medical indications of asphyxia or strangulation,” Ms. Sweasy said.

“He said to me, ‘Amy, what happens when the actual evidence doesn’t match up with the public narrative that everyone’s already decided on?’ And then he said, ‘This is the kind of case that ends careers.’”

Because she disagreed with Mr. Freeman about the charging of the case, which she believed violated “professional and ethical rules,” she withdrew, which in turn led to increased retaliation, she said.

In Dr. Baker’s autopsy report, he states “No life-threatening injuries identified.”

I'd sooner trust video evidence pre-AI over eyewitness testimony.

Or the hearsay speculation of people who weren't there when it happened.

Serously? The Epoch Times? They're the Falon Gong's newsletter, dude. For fuck's sake they're a literal cult.

Help me understand…Do you believe that the report isn’t true because of who wrote it? Or are you trying to distract from the point?

If the only source you can cite is from a cult newsletter, then why on earth should I even consider believing a word of what they published? How do I know it's even an honest account of those proceedings? Because they also posted a supposed transcript? How do I know their transcript is legitimate? Can you corroborate at least that text, word for word, with an actual transcript from a legitimate site?

Geez, I thought I was skeptical…I’ll look around.

My problem with the case is that Chauvin was using a legal hold that he was trained to use. Did he do it longer than he should have? Maybe. I don't see how all those cops couldn't get Floyd in cuffs while Chauvin had him pretty much incapacitated. My memory is foggy on this case though.

Okay, can anyone access this? https://www.mncourts.gov/publicaccess Supposedly you can get unofficial court records there, including the statement by Sweasy. I don't really have much doubt she said it. But it's not probably going to prove anything at this point. If you followed the case, it was politicized from early on, and the mob already had their man. Cities including where he was tried, were rioting. There was no way he was going to be acquitted.
