Last Wednesday my wife gifted me a new 2023 PRS SE Holcomb SVN.
Well I returned it today and got the 6 string model. I realized my left hand (after a few injuries over the year, and early arthritis) wasn't too good with the wide neck and 26.5" scale length. I admit I am a wimp.
I really wanted to take the 7 string journey but I don't think I can.
This one is 25.5" scale, and comes setup for drop C, 10-52 strings. As soon as I got home I tuned it up plugged it in, and was instanty in love. The top on this one is nicer looking in person that the photos show.
As usuall the QC is tight on this beast. Frets are pretty much perfect and the whole thing is flawless.
Stoked beyond words.

HNGD! I've had my eyes on that one. The blueburst weakens my knees! I have a limited release macassar ebony Holcomb SE 6, and love it so much I dropped a 2nd set of the Alpha/Omegas in another guitar.

Have you tried the A/O set? Really curious as to how the new Scarlet and Scourge sound in comparison.

I haven't tried the Alpha / Omega set.
But the scarlet / scourge set is amazing. They aren't as high output as the older ones and are made to have a lot of clarity. Honestly I really like them so far. The cleans are jazz worthy. And they still crunch like monsters.
I'd love to see a pic of your ebony Holcomb, that must be amazing.
This guitar came setup perfectly. Intonation and relief were spot on.

Ok. This guitar is a keeper. The neck is so comfy and perfect for me. Love the shape, it's not super thin, just right for me.
Drop C is my home base. This thing plays so well it's ridiculous. Feels, plays, sounds sooooo good.
? :giggle:❤️

Lighting is kinda crap this time of year, but here it is!
