Mesa Mark III++ Question

Hey guys,

Question about the Mark III++. I know that to enable the ++ mode you have to pull the Rhy2 knob while on the lead channel, but with it pushed is it the same as stock or it'd be like the III+?

Usually it‘s the mid knob that’s pulled to engage ++.
When pushed the amp is a III+.

Thanks. From the top of my head I thought the Mid knob is the Rhy2.

My understanding is that the R2 mod is separate from the ++ mod. You can have one but not the other, hence why you pull the mid knob to engage ++ mode.

I never put mine in + mode. It always stays in ++ mode. It just sounds so much more brutal and has gobs of gain on tap but it’s not ear piercing or on top of the gain - it just fills everything out and makes the amp sound bigger and more badass.

You don’t pull R2 ever. With mid knob pulled it’s ++. Pushed in its +.

R2 is the mid knob, works for me, built in R2+ mod without spending a dime.

I don't have any mods, when I pull the Middle knob labeled "pull rhythm 2", I get a little boost on the lead channel on my KDRG, I'm calling it the free + mod

You're talking about the R2 Volume knob I suppose. But we're talking about enabling the ++ by pulling the Mid/Pull Rhy2 knob.

If it has no mods why ask if your using ++ or + . Those are mods . So If no mods he’s justing using the amp normal and likes the mods pulled

Same thing with my Purple Stripe. I even thought it could be a chance it was modded, but it's not. And pulling R2(Middle knob), while on the lead channel, does boost the lead channel a little bit.

So the original OP didn’t have the mods . He’s just using a regular mark 3 ?
