Last cover of 2023! Playing the entirety of "Over the Mountain" by Ozzy Osbourne on guitar and bass. Randy Rhoads death was 40 years ago, but his impact has continued to influence countless guitarists. This song highlights Randy's ability to layer solo pieces together, and shows off his tight rhythm playing. The guitars have a unique tuning (Eb, and +15 cents) while the bass is Eb.

Song name: Over the Mountain
Band: Ozzy Osbourne
Album: Diary of a Madman
Year: 1981
Guitar used: ESP LTD Elite ST-1
Bass used: ESP LTD Elite J4
Amp: Line 6 Helix LT
Software for recording: Audacity

Nice job on matching his tone, as well.

Is that a preset, or did you dial that in yourself ?
Created the preset over the past 1.5 months on my Line 6 Helix LT. It's also how I increased the pitch to +15 cents to match Randy's tuning. Recorded straight from the pedal with no post-editing EQ, no adjustments or anything like that

I always find it cool to learn that him and Ed Van Halen did that while recording (others too probably), but those are two I have really studied their tones & tricks.

Great playing man! And you dialed up a tasty Helix tone for sure. Detune is a must for that late 80s tone for sure.
