Hello RT brothers and sisters!

Just wanted to let you all know that my second child was born 12/21. Home birth, just like the first. What a really wonderful way to have children. Wife was up and around like normal 30m after delivering.

Longer laboring and slower process on the first, this one came flying out!!

Anywho, this little girl is named Ivy.

I wish you all the best and hope you have a great new year :)

It's crazy to me, I feel like my daughter was just a baby and have been helping her move into her first place this month. There's pros and cons, tbh. Wish y'all well and Merry Christmas!

Congrats GG and what a time for it to happen! :cheers2:

Thread moved to "General" 'cause it was floating at the root level.

Home born. Wow.
With no professional help and meds?
We had a midwife and a female friend of ours to be an extra set of hands. Wife shed one tear with the first child, And about the same result for the second child. Very chill environment, not stressful like being wired up inside the hospital and stuff. Mind you, we do ultrasounds and check health stats along the way, if there were any complications or obvious issues we would use the hospital but definitely a last choice.

The calmer the mother stays, the.less painful and smoother the birth. The second child went twice as fast- more intense contractions, the water broke as she was coming out!

I have a large hot tub that I filled in the living room for the birth. That girl shot out, came up in the water into our hands, and went right back to sleep on mom. I was actually worried so I did some spanks and the baby bitched at me a bit and fell back asleep.

It really is a great experience and the only way I would want to ever have children. It is nothing even like the videos we watched about natural birth and all that- way better.

Calm, serene, peaceful, quiet.

Sorry if that was a bit of a long-winded answer :)

GuitarGuy08 got the best Christmas gift of anyone on the forum by a country mile and it sounds to me like you did it right too! Big congratulations and Merry Christmas, Grow as many of them as the Lord allows, just my two cents.

Turn around and you’re 2
Turn around and you’re 4
Turn around and you’re a young wife going out of the door.
Congratulations Guitar Guy! Especially on home delivery….not waiting on the doctor’s schedule.

Congrats......I just found the video funny and applicable to a baby being born on Christmas so please don't take offense!
