I don't reject it based on an authority saying it. I reject it because the government is a known lying entity and the evidence behind it I personally find weak and not trustworthy. Kind of like the vaccine. Or 9/11. Or Waco. Or Ruby Ridge.

If I work with you and discover you have told numerous lies then my default mode is now I assume everything you say is a lie, this way I can figure out what is really going on. Not saying you are a liar, just that when you are dealing with an entity with a track record of lies, like the government, it is best to discard all their claims at face value and re-think it.
