It's been a while since I've bought off there and can't remember, but do I pay state sales tax on a purchase or does Reverb cover that from fees on the seller?

It should be added to your item total when you check out, doesn't come out of seller fees.

Also, If you're buying from a shop you may want to check to see if they have their own website. Often they won't collect sales tax through their personal website. I've even found this with a number of manufactures when buying direct, as well. I think it's only states that don't have a sales tax that don't collect, otherwise.

Ah ok, figured it did but I didn't remember paying sales tax when I bought a guitar off there over a year ago, but I've also slept since then.

Yeah, I already asked the guy if he had it listed anywhere else to kinda pry some info out but he said Reberb was the only place.

I think this could possibly have happened and depend on your own state law as well since some states tax it at the rate of the state where the sale originates from and other states tax it at their local rate. So, if you lived in a state that taxes at the rate where the item is coming from and you bought from somewhere like Oregon, they have no sales tax and so you may not pay any.
