hi is anyone able to help date these 3 v30 speakers from the serial codes.

PS the top & bottom ones are MIC, the middle one is MIUK.

In case you can't spot the codes you'll need to look up these ( month/year ) EN, HV and CU. The numbers aren't really necessary other than the fact that they come first, so check out the 1991 – 2014 column.

What's the deal on these v30'S anyway? Does the Glenn fricker thing apply or is it all folklore about early 2000 v30's being better? I always thought the play with these was to work these in to calm them down. Either way, I'm picking up a 1960A with 75's/V30 cross pattern and we will see how they are.

I think they all sound good. But they do sound different. Even the individual speakers can sound pretty different.

That's what I am assuming as well.. at any time year to year, a batch can have certain sonic characteristics over another due to materials, age, break in.

Let me tell you guys something. Someone broke into my place and doused some of my speakers in water, 6 V30's ruined! I'm choked. It looks like they took a wet cloth to them.
