Does a TR actually work well with JBLs? I'm not familiar with JBLs outside of PA/keyboard and car audio.
That second part is just morbid curiosity, but honest curiosity. ?‍♀️

I remember getting a 65 TRRI once that had a bass woofer out of a car in the place of one of the Jensens.
Bought it off some tweaker in Tacoma for like $100, so no complaints. Sadly, as far as I could tell it was actually his given the rest of his gear he was fire selling.

The JBL D-120s remind me of the Altec 417-8H .. very efficient speakers.

I personally don't like them, but they're needed to chase that early VH or Randy Rhoads tone.

LOL wut? It was offered as a factory upgrade by Fender themselves. JBL D120F, the F being for "Fender". There is your answer. There is no better speaker for a Twin than a JBL unless when maybe doing the chug. They are ALIVE when compared next to most other speakers. I prefer the K series cause they don't blow up as fast when you run it hard.

No, I don't think landing a $200m craft on the moon upside down should be celebrated when my son's couple hundred $ drone lands itself just fine. Planes have been capable of landing themselves for decades, but a couple few hundred million $ crafts tend to be overlooked for the obvious.

I dunno, I'm not super familiar with Fenders other than "here's a Jensen".
What era did/do they offer that? You'll have to excuse me as my telecaster has seven strings and active humbuckers.
