my wife got hacked and made another temp account with my name. I actually use it to look at marketplace. I don't see the appeal. Has to be an ego thing.

I use it to hear what's happening on our island, helps me avoid vacationers, city office closures and road closures.

I follow a few bands/musicians, and gear brands.

Other than that I troll random crap posts that show up in my feed, lately these are vegans, law enforcement, Gibson, Ukraine supporters and Gaza supporters.

I just don't like the way the algorithm has changed. I used to see what people I cared about were saying, stuff they were doing. My wife has it and now it's just tons of adds and vapid stuff. Also it turned into something where people type out every stupid thought that crosses their minds. I like doing that here better, lol

The ads do get a bit old, but I rarely just scroll through my feed. I mostly just use it to let extended family keep up with my kids and to send people messages because I don’t love texting.
I’m pretty quick to delete anyone that annoys me though.

People would friend request me that I hadn't seen in years so I accepted it and I would message them "hey man long time no see" and nothing but crickets and then on my birthday every "friend" that never interacts with me would be all "OH HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRO" Man GTFOOH with that feel good empty fake bullshit. I don't tell anyone my birthday anymore. I actually gigged on it last year. Someone in the crowd said "it's my birthday" and my bandmate who I've known for five years was like "hey man it's your birthday too". I said "pipe down about all that" LOL

Yea I don’t really follow the social constructs of that kinda stuff. I’ll de-friend people that post dumb stuff, or not accept requests from others, I’ll take days to text people back, etc. fucking call me if you have something important to say. I’ve had Facebook since it required a university email address though, so Its kinda engrained in me.

This is the first year im actually doing something for my birthday. I’m gonna take a day off from work and go acoustic guitar shopping. It’s been way long since I’ve been in a music shop
