Her jaw was hanging loose off her face so it had to be done, among other damage. She was a crazy black mouth cur bitch but she had my back out here while I was building my place. Almost got eaten one day by someone else's dogs so she was my security and alert animal. What tears me up is that animal would've sucked it up and done the 3 mile morning run in that shape if duty had called. I covered her with rocks this morning. ?:sick:

I had to put down my constant companion of 16 years about 8 years ago. It devastated me. No more dogs for me. I'd rather an extended relative die.

Not to make light of the situation, but my parents live in the house my mom grew up in, and a few years ago when they dig out the side yard for a detached garage and my mom started a list of how many pets of hers were most likely dug up lol. It was sad at first but grew comical when the list hit page 2

I think most everyone can agree this site got better when the nonstop personal attacks stopped.

I buried both my dogs and numerous fish right up against my fence so this wouldn't be an issue. I dug the hole 4' deep too. There is now a flower garden tended by my wife there.

Unfortunately they are the neighbors and sustained some flesh wounds. I told the neighbor whatever he needed me to do to make it right I would do so hopefully we can smooth everything out. I feel more like shit about his animals than mine. The dog was nuts, would've taken on an elephant, rhino, or a hog solo. Completely fearless unto death.

A lot of it is conditioning and mindset. I just find it's easier to condition my mind to accept hot weather than cold. That's why I moved south ASAP.
