Tyson Foods says it would like to hire 42,000 immigrants to fill positions just days after the company announced it would close a plant in Iowa that employed about 1,200 people.

Tyson is joining Tent Partnership for Refugees, a nonprofit that works to get refugees hired, and it plans on hiring at least some of the more than 180,000 migrants who have gone through New York City's intake system over the past two years, Bloomberg reported last week.

About 42,000 of Tyson's 120,000 U.S. employees are immigrants, and Garrett Dolan, who is in charge of the company's efforts to overcome barriers to employment, including immigration status, said, "We would like to employ another 42,000 if we could find them."

Following the Bloomberg report, Tyson stressed that it only hires people who are legally authorized to work in the United States.

I expect nothing less from pedophile meat maker company. Dude was tight with Bill Clinton, they partied together, which tells me all I need to know.

I don’t eat none of their funky bullshit anyway. Anyone who does , stop now.
Agreed. Smithfield farms is the biggest producer of pork and I believe it is Chinese owned. They have a bad track record of how they treat their animals going back a decade or more. It's hard to avoid some of these brands because they are everywhere.

Not hard for guys like you and me. I don’t eat anything Smithfield sells either. God damn Missouri republicans adjusted the rules by two percent so the Chinese could buy the plant out near Marshall Missouri. All, eh, Latinos working there now.

Getting it through my wife's noggin takes a little more work. Pretty much no corporate food is to be trusted any longer. I have noticed some strange off flavors in some stuff post Covid so I started avoiding a lot of it. Most of it was crap food anyways. That's why I keep shooting deer. I know where it comes from and who touched it. ME.

If most folks would vist a Slaughter house operation they'd probably alter their meat intake.
It doesn't go well for the critters and they don't die willingly.
Its a thankless job but folks want their Big Macs & Whoppers.

That’s correct. My ex was an animal rights activist, I’ve been to the plant in Fayetteville, NC. If you ever want to experience a legitimate hellscape, take a visit. Once you’re about 3 miles away from the plant the smell of shit, piss, burnt hair and blood is all you can smell and the closer you get, the thicker it is to breath in.

Since most of those activists are fucking morons that do more to harm themselves and the whole thing they’re working towards, I went up with her. No surprise the event got national coverage when the fucktard activists wouldn’t listen to the cops and a riot just about broke out with 8 or 10 people getting arrested.

The pigs come in on flatbeds all day/night, the truckers will usually stop before entering the property so the activists can give the pigs some water and that’s when you really get an eyeful of what the fuck we’re putting in our bodies. These pigs are packed in like sardines, open wounds/sores from fighting during the trip, some are dead on the floor, they’ve got no water or food.

We spoke to a shitload of the employees that weekend and they’re all basically damaged, no one wants to work there but it’s the only place in town hiring consistently. People breaking into tears not because they have to work, but feeling like they’re trapped working there and hating every second of it.

It’s no surprise they had to cough up $42,000,000 to the city for destroying the land surrounding it. All that piss, shit and blood runs into these drainage ditches outside the place, it kills the soil and I’d be willing to bet even if they tore the place down, that stench would remain for years.

I switched over to a carnivore diet recently and buy very little processed foods. Usually, a canned chicken breast or Vienna sausages or potted meat for a breakfast at work, but usually just steak or chicken at dinner. I'm lucky to live in Maine with a lot of rural, lower populated areas where I can get beef/steak/chicken/pork/whatever grown and slaughtered locally for about the same price, or less, than cuts sold at the local grocery stores. Even before that, I rarely ever purchased any name brand packaged/boxed meats, so not buying from Tyson will be a breeze, as I rarely did anyway.

Lewiston is my hometown!

lol do you live there now? I just bought an amp a few days ago from a Lew'er on here. I moved to Bangor late last summer.

God no, I’d have died about 20 years ago if I stayed there. I’m in Ft. Lauderdale now, usually make it up there once a year as my friends/family are still up there.

Check that amp for bed bugs and/or a fentanyl stash, dude!!!!

lol I did ask him, after asking for a shipping figure and him telling me that he just lived right down the road, how many bullet holes and stab wounds the amp had :ROFLMAO:
