For me, it's always Marshall. Mesas are killer as well; but in the end a Marshall tone is home for me. Even that amazing Rev C, or any of my C+s couldn't de throne the Marshall tone in my head.
But that's me.

That's a pretty common assessment of a Cam mod. The modern mod 2203x I had, was the one that sounded like a blend of that combo the best. More than a Jose or Aldrich.

It’s highly subjective, and there is no wrong answer when it comes to preference, but I tend to lean more towards Mesas myself. And it’s the feel as much as it’s the sound. Love Marshalls, love that tone, but I definitely prefer the way a Mark feels. I had a Cameron modded Marshall years back that was amazing, though.

Modded Marshall every time, except if the GZ modded Recto is involved. In that case it would have to go head to head with the aforementioned modded Marshall. Also factoring in is who modded it and also the nature of the particular mod involved. My preferences generally are all tube stage modded Marshall > all tube modded Recto > and lastly diode clipping Marshall.

I have a modded 2203 that absolutely kicks ass!

I have sold off all my Mesa amps....most recently my Mark V.

Marshall imho.

Marshall... Nothing works better in a band setting than a good Marshall... for me anyways. they have that cut, while sitting in the mix just right. All my favorite players and favorite tones...Uli, M. Schenker, Rhoads, EVH , Malmsteen, Blackmore. Marsha Marsha Marshall!

The Marshall amps are long gone. I still have the Tremoverb.
I do have amps that clone or part of JTM, JMP and JCM. My amp preferences change all the time.

BTW asshat, a Mark V has more than 3 master volumes. Which is higher than you can count, so mommy might have to help you there.
