How many of you believe the Earth is flat? Go.......

Which band? I’ve been in many.
And helping the less fortunate is nothing to be ashamed of. That’s why people donate bread and pants to your compound.
Thanks for your input, Paul.
I'm just sayin', to hail from the country that produced the likes of AC/DC and INXS, you should be ashamed of yourself.

God created humans per the Bible however the Bible is not a scientific textbook and nor is it intended to be read as such.

When you spout ridiculous beliefs like "flat earths" you do cause harm. There are people with low IQ's that actually believe that crap, so you are basically sewing confusion and eroding people's faith in the many advances humanity has learnt over the years. It is obvious that the Earth is spheroidal from a multitude of proofs and you as much admitted above when you said NASA assumes a flat non rotating earth for certain calculations to simplify things. The obverse of that is you admit for other calculations it's easier to assume it's spheroidal... So you are being disingenuous with all this flat earth rubbish. You know very well it's not flat but you just want to carry on like a tosser.
Are you kidding me? You don't think that whether or not "Science" supports the biblical account of creation isn't significant to a believer and their faith? And furthermore, you think a Christian should care more about the supposed need for faith in "Science" rather than faith in God? 🤣 I think I've heard it all now! Anyways, it's not obvious (To me anyways) and here in American we live in free country. At least until enough folks with your self-righteous and paternalistic mindset take over, if they haven't already. BTW as I was arguing with Anywho27 a while back, the fact that NASA uses linear non-rotating earth models for calculations further demonstrates that the "story" is irrelevant, and the math doesn't prove anything.

No I'm not. The Bible is true but it was not written as a scientific textbook for a modern western mindset like it's a scientific paper. Again this is plainly obvious. It was written thousands of years ago and is relevant to all the ages of man.

As for all those calculations that don't mean anything it affects everything from GPS to guidance systems on space probes. How do you think they get things so accurate. It only uses the calculations you are talking about for specific cases to simplify SOME calcs. It's called pragmatism.

I live in Australia and it is also a free country. Some aspects of the USA are less free. Some are more free. On some indexes Australia has been shown to be more free overall. So don't give me that parochial land of the free bullshit.

There is a problem with homeschooling because your teacher might well be one of these fruitcakes.

Although at a real school you might get a institutionalised fruitcake telling you an Arthur was born a Martha - which is easily just as bad.
Well, it's your kid. Thumbpicker, the local school board, governor or anyone else really doesn't have the fucking right to force you to let some asshole indoctrinate your kids. In this state at least, the parent's have to pass tests and meet certain criteria and then the child has to test out of each grade, same as public school kids. The bad thing I think about homeschooling is your kid doesn't get that socialization they would get in regular school.

We moved where we live specifically because we wanted the kid to go to the school she went to. A public school. Here in the middle of nowhere. Her graduating class was less than 100 kids. The superintendent of the district knew all the kids in all 13 grades by name. First time I met him he had blood all over his hands and suit because one of the parents had hit a deer out on the road and didn't know how to field dress it, so he did it for them. The school closed opening week of deer season because they knew none of the boys would be there anyway.

Name one way Australia is more free than America.

it's often freedom from rather than freedom to.

Free not to worry about the cost of the doctor or getting sick.
Free not to have to your kids go through a metal detector at school.
Free to put a decent exhaust pipe on my bike (unlike several of your states).
Free from having slums. There are none here that really meet that definition to speak of.
No HOAs as such - or very rare.

Ask this place why they ranked it higher... it's done on the following criteria.
  • Rule of Law
  • Security and Safety
  • Movement
  • Religion
  • Association, Assembly, and Civil Society
  • Expression and Information
  • Identity and Relationships
  • Size of Government
  • Legal System and Property Rights
  • Access to Sound Money
  • Freedom to Trade Internationally
  • Regulation

My kid never went through a metal detector.
Think of slums like your "Outback". Or like a desert. Yeah we have them, but we don't live there.
No idea what you're talking about with the pipes. There are no restrictions on motorcycle pipes here that I know of. Maybe California. You forget, this country is a union of sovereign states. We have emissions control bullshit on everything, which I think you do too.

Freedom of religion is unabated here.

Freedom of movement is unabated here.

Security and safety. Those who trade liberty for the pretense of safety deserve neither. I'll be retaining my ability to protect and defend myself and my family, thank you.

Expression and information ? WTF is that about ?

Sound money ? Everything we have here you can have. For twice the cost.

Regulation ? Possibly. Really that only affects corporations for the most part.

Size of government. Yeah probably. Ours is ridiculous.

Rule of law ? Well based on your interaction with your neighbor I'm gonna say that's bullshit.

Property rights ? No issues with it here other than imminent domain and we gotta pay taxes on it. Which I'm sure you do too. And yours is more expensive.

The list is ridiculous and looks like it was written by someone who learned everything they know about the US from their TVs.

You sure have a lot of opinions about a place you've never been to. Kinda like I'm pretty sure your country is a nanny state, semi socialist, leftist wet dream and I've never been there. :)

Floyd.. with 7.47% of this site being Australian, what are the odds there's 4 of them who only post in OTC and even then, do nothing but talk trash about America.

It's just NPC/sock-puppet bullshit.

:ROFLMAO:

I don't know what NPC is.

I do know that whatever it is, Thumbpicker isn't it. He may have a lot of wacked out ideas about and a hard on for America, but he always has. And I've known him for years. In fact I turned him on to this place.

I suspect it's jealousy.

Yes I agree this is ridiculous. How can you ban a factual video in the name of truth... It's on the fucking videotape - doesn't get more truthful than that.
Same principle as you were advocating earlier: could cause harm, offend people's sensibilities, confuse people, etc. Incontrovertible, uncontested truth has never been the issue.
