I smell what you're steppin in dog. I have lights that come on after dark, ring doorbells, I got these in the doors. Not gonna prevent someone from bashing down the door, but I'll hear it. Gonna get a big smith and wesson sticker for the door too :D

I
don't do the sticker bro. I have had inmates that loved targeting gun houses. They said it was like hitting the lottery.

You've given lots of good advice in this thread. This last one seems like common sense but you'd be surprised. If you don't personally know me you would have no idea I know anything about or have ever seen a gun. You definitely won't notice the ones shoved down my pants. No stickers on the cars, no "Come and Get Them" flag hanging off the porch.

Very long hinge screws through security hinges and security dead bolts. Fuck the cheap ass bullshit you get from Home Depot. I like steel entry doors with no glass but solid wood is good too. The point is to make it extremely loud and time consuming to get the door down. Most of the time they're going to go through the windows. So lock them and make them difficult to reach. Don't leave shit out in the front yard they can stand on to reach the windows. Ground floor windows may require security bars or another means of fortification.

Privacy fence around the entire property with trip wire alarms inside the perimeter. It's cheaper than you think. Employ cameras that can't be seen. Up in trees, whatever. Game cams work fine, I have them all the way from my daughter's house up the street all the way down to the highway. I can see you before you get near my house.

No sliding door is secure. I don't give a fuck who makes it or what kind of device it employs for security I can get into your house through that door in less than 5 minutes without making any noise using just a pry bar.

Dogs make great alarm systems and they can't be defeated by taking out the power or the internet connection.

One thing to keep in mind about the motion alarms and stuff is anything sets them off. I have awakened many times to a cat tripping an alarm. Good luck going back to sleep after that…lol. Everything is about buying you and your family time. Trust me…time is your friend because the defender is always at a disadvantage. The attacker chooses when, where and how. I also set up a lethal/non lethal trap for an issue that I was having but I disarmed it because I didn’t want something to happen to my family on accident. Plus this shit can have a definite psychological impact on you as well. Preparing is one thing. Experiencing an issue and trying to handle it while protecting your family and property is insanely stressful. Eventually you’ll get to the point where you will take the law into your own hands. It’s natural.

Would you believe the stuff's illegal in Australia?
Of course I can believe it. It’s just more proof of Thumbpicker’s “ Australia has more freedom than the US” theory.

I just bought a nice Benchmade 5” fixed blade “Camp” knife. Through the mail. I’m pretty sure you’d go to prison if you got caught carrying it.

Was waiting the whole thread for this. Freddie is always on alert and hates violence, even when I am the one committing it. The dog gives you that first alert out here, when the car is rolling up my driveway. He HAS to be at the door to see who's who. Pretty chill dude with my visitors but if you were unwelcome he's not who you want to get cross with. 75lbs of pure love......

Freedom has more to it than weapons. How about freedom not to have to install trip wires and booby traps because it’s so shithouse out there that you are scared someone is going to kill you because I can’t even imagine having to live like that

Works great until it don’t dude. You are definitely not immune from pieces of shit who would murder you. You only think you are. And you are provably wrong.

@Thumbpicker

ask white farmers in south africa how it's going. SMH
People need to learn to think further ahead than right now. The whole “ my government would never try to subjugate me” theory has been proven to be foolish and shortsighted over and over again.

It’s also foolish to believe that since your government outlawed guns that means criminals don’t have them. Sudanese, Pakis and all kinds of other “refugees” from Africa are pouring into Australia as we speak. But I’m sure they’re all good people and would never arm themselves for criminal purposes.

I posted a vid from the UK where Turkish barber shops, mobile phone stores and vape/smoke shops are thriving in close proximity while every other store is out of business; there's thoughts these places may be laundering money for drug, human traffickers, terrorists etc., and the banks and UK government are allowing it to happen...I'm sure they're also dealing weapons. The Brits are unarmed, but you can be sure the illegal invaders have weapons and ammo, all while Brit taxpayers are paying for the invaders keep (housing, schools, medical, food, etc.)

imagine if those white south african farmers weren't armed
