There was a lot of weird shit about sandy hook. I don't see what crime or tort he committed. Sorry for those parents loss, but $1.5B ain't bringin' any kids back. It just seems entirely politically motivated, like everything else these days.

If you live by the principle of believing nothing you hear and only half of what you see the logical conclusion would be that it was fake or staged. If Alex Jones was a real conspiracy theorist he would be dead a long time ago. He's a gatekeeping insider, the guy who "snuck" into Bohemian Grove to show us all fake human sacrifices. I suspect less savory things transpire when Alex's camera isn't there.

I really don't understand why he backed down or why he should owe the parents anything, even if he was wrong. I've always felt it was the politically expedient thing to do, maybe legal or business motivated, but not what he actually believed. Like how joe rogan now thinks the moon landings are real — "just because they lie about some of it doesn't mean they're lying about all of it." What new evidence convinced him? What new evidence came out about sandy hook that suddenly Jones has a different view?

Agreed. What he said while in poor taste, isn’t punishable…but what do I know.
 
You blokes need to watch out for you conspiracy theories. Those flat earth ones can be very costly - especially if you walk of the edge of the Earth and don't land on your wallets.
 
So trying to understand this. So if you tell a lie, you are guilty of a crime? Meaning if I have a radio station and I tell all my listeners Joe Biden is black, I can get sued?

Isn't that free speech? So if Alex Jones goes on air and says Sandy Hook is a hoax, what crime is he guilty of? Free Speech.
 
Those Uvalde families are suing Fed Ex for delivering the AR15 to the gun store and UPS for delivering the FCG ( trigger) to the shooter’s house.

That was all likely fake anyways. The FB accounts tied to the families that supposedly lost children seemed quickly slapped together to me, with no real content like the usual FB account would have. Yeah maybe the fathers don't post much, but the mom's would otherwise be mostly yakking it up on there like women do but the profiles seemed like they were assembled a few weeks before the event.

no it s not free to chase down the families of these kids, publish the names addresses DOB SSN and send hostile crazy people after the parents.
Were a nation of Laws and the families hit him in the pocketbook.
The shitbag has nobody to blame but himself.
20 kids & 6 teachers were murdered and Jones exploited that as far as he could and a court sez he has to pay.

Jones wasn't tried and convicted for any of that. It was a defamation suit. And even if they were defamed, the damages awarded are ridiculous.
