I am fuller than a G12T-75 and less mid nasally than a V30. What speaker am I?

If you wanted a speaker that is more full sounding and less fizzy than a G12T-75, but not as mid heavy and nasally sounding as a V30, what speaker would that be?

Should be something you can buy new.

Maybe a G12K-100, EVH G12 GB, or Redback? Maybe Eminence Swamp Thang, Man o War, or DV-77?

Eminence made Splawn small blocks.

I ran an X pattern of those and V30s and it was glorious. They compliment one another very well.

The top end on small blocks are very rolled off like a bass G12-65 but it acts like a greenback and punches like an eminence legend. It’s a great speaker and an underdog in every way.

T75s and V30s are both favorites. They sound pretty fantastic when running both those cabs together. They don't have any of the qualities you mentioned ( fizzy & nasally) but both cabs have been getting pummelled for years. With that said, one of my other favorite cabs is loaded w/ G12K85s which are more balanced but just sounds phenomenal with any amp I run through it.

I think the 3 Celestion's you mentioned will do what you ask for in different ways. Just depends what you want. The Redback is thick, chewy, dark, can get flubby with low mid heavy amps, EVH GB is upper middy, tight, fast, grindy, lean low end, G12-K100 sounds bigger, more neutral leaning voice. The redback and 20w GB's are my 2 favorite current made Celestion's

the Jaguars in my old randall cabs might be close to what you are looking for too. it may be time for me to do another speaker comparison of the 12 or so i have here, i have a K100 and scumback 65 i think it is i havent even mic'd up yet.

A Marshall G12 vintage is what you want :)

i was thinking this too, as thats what i thought i was getting when i got one, but mine just has a weird kind of distant and hollow thing going on i just havent jived with, what mic placement you use with yours??

Another vote for the G12K-85.

Honorable mention: Egnater Elite 80. (Which presumably is a rebadged and tweaked Classic Lead 80 with more low end )

Dude, check out Avatar speakers. I would recommend the AV75 based on what you are seeking.

i Like the G12Ts but also have a cab loaded with an ET65
i switch them off. I think the ETs are more modern sounding

Too broad a question. Practically ANY speaker will have fuller mids than a new 75 and also be less nasal/middy than a V30.

The Mesa Boogie made in UK V30 is less middy and is warmer and fuller sounding compared to the regular V30, I have an older Mesa Roadster 2x12 with those in it and they are great speakers

The Celestion 12G65 reissue may also meet your criteria. I had a WGS Reaper and the Celestion replaced that speaker in my 1x12 combo and the 12G65 reissue is an all around better speaker to the WGS Reaper IMHO.
