I don't think it is his general instinct to be militarily aggressive simply for the sake of world hegemony and the defense lobby. He recognizes the human costs that people like Liz Cheney don't care about. On the other hand he is completely sold out to Israel and for that matter even assassinated Iran's top general. He's also got the carefully cultivated image of a tough guy. I think given the right circumstances he will wage war. And I think that the deep state and Israel can create those circumstances.

I couldn’t agree more and that really pissed me off, but I think this time will be different.
Time will tell. I’ll be the first one to call bullshit if it comes to that. What were we to do?
Sitting this out was not an option, I HATE rino shitheads, but a lot of those people will never get that chance again. I think he will cull anyone whose past actions give them away
in the first couple of weeks.
I’m optimistic at this point. I expect there to be some friction from the remaining old guard but I think he will out them as soon as he knows it. Think about it, a guy with a yap like Trumps will have a hard time being silent about anything that is preventing him from doing what he said he would. He has proven that over and over. Sometimes to his own detriment

Honestly Dan there’s enough checks and balances in place to hopefully stop any one person from bringing it all down. However anything can happen. I was upset when Biden won. I was also convinced there were shenanigans that took place getting him elected. Honestly though I was not really concerned. I knew he would make decisions that I would not agree with but I knew he wouldn’t be able to burn it down. Same as if Hillary or Kamala would have won. Hell you never know….they might have actually done something. The economy performed great under Clinton. I wasn’t happy with all his decisions but oh well. So you’re not happy with Trump…that’s fine too. He’s not the Nazi that the talking heads make him out to be. Except for covid his 1st term was great. His mistake with covid was the government insiders with their own agendas advising him. YMMV

Well put. My step Dad & i chatted today. We don't talk much since my Mom sudden;y passed in 2020 at least not as much.
He is a retired VP / Aero Engineer after 40 yeras. I have always valued his opine and he's been more of a father to me than my own and a man of stellar integrity. He sez he isn't a "Republican" but a conservative and ive always known that but he never talks about politics and is very repectful.
I asked him "why Elon Musk is talking to Putin", his reply is "because he knows".
I also asked him if he feels comfy with Trump at the helm in Foriegn affiars. His reply was absolutely 100% and he would know.
He said "could you see Harris sitting across Putin trying to negotiate or Trump". He brings up good points and in 50 yrs i dont recall him being off the mark.
Bottomline was a large section of US voters were tired of being not heard and left behind and the status quo and i understand and accept that.
Im one of them. Whatever happens its going to be a helluva ride. Break out the popcorn, sit back & enjoy the show.

I personally enjoy a good shakeup. Honestly though…fuck all the politicians and government bureaucrats. They are rotten and diseased. The rot needs cut out or off. Covid is a prime example. Man made….released on purpose or accidentally doesn’t matter. They have murdered many people all over the world and they will pay for that when judgement day comes. IMO… my point is that they don’t care about anything other than their agendas…
