I didn't care for the way that sounded at all.....

I wouldn’t look too deep into the amp sounding incredibly stupid, weak, and anemic in that video, as it was dialed and played by somebody who was clearly doing their best impression of “low gain geriatric Santana.”

When it’s dialed in by someone who actually knows how a Mark works and what high gain guitar sounds like, it will sound a lot better.

Whether it sounds as good as the original IIC+ amps remains to be seen.

Hah don’t worry I’m sure the minute the review embargo ends, youtube will be flooded with demos from all the usual suspects.

Gibson didn’t learn from Fender’s total flop of the 5150 iconic. Forcing influencers to use the shit matching cabinet and not allowing boosts. It forever scarred that amp for a long time that I still feel it never recovered from.

Gibson is about to do the same thing with dad rock riffs on a fucking IIC+ reissue. They should have had the best of the best do proper metal on it if they’re going to release any clips. I agree that was not doing the amp any favors.

the problem is, its the farthest from a "plug in and play" amp there is, there is so much you can tweak with all the push/pull knobs and everything else, and the smallest of tweaks can go from terrible to amazing that i cant imagine its easy to do a good review on. heres a pic of my settings i did with this metallica clip if anyone needs a starting point
