Budde, who has led the diocese since 2011, said she wanted to “counter as gently as I could with a reminder of their humanity and their place in our wider community”.

Jesus did not condone sin or sexual immorality within the church. Neither did the other apostles.

Jesus preached to sinners but his call was to repent from sin not to let it run wild with no consequences.
