This Myrtlewood guitar I will finish someday. I want to find a roasted maple supplier to purchase some neck blanks from.

I hope that does not look like a Paul Reed Smith, it’s a carved top with natural wood, but a very different shape.

Thank you, what’s funny is there’s all kinds of guitar builders that I used to do guitar shows with who received cease and desist letters like Christmas cards from a specific company

Then that company made a Les Paul look alike and pretended like they were not the biggest bully in the room

Personal preference... Supa Strat, H/X/S, Floyd, 22 fret birdseye maple/dark ebony board, SS frets

Voted: Super Strat.

But we'll see how the rest of the options/voting goes as the days move on.

In the Blackmachine B6 NAD thread I told that I borrowed horn shape for my one and only custom guitar in 2013.

I decided to show it off and hear your opinions on how it came out. I even made up a “catchy” name lol

So I generally dislike fatter and shorter horns on superstrats, like they are on Charvels, but I also don’t like Ibanez RG style lower horn with a sharper edge to it. And BMs horns were IT for me.

I also like a little slant to the shape of guitar body, like Suhr Moderns have. It was time to merge things a bit.

Here are some pictures for your judgement on how good of an idea...

This was where my thoughts went to as well. But of course I'd have to put my own personal spin on it like theses I built. Either upper cutaway or double horn.

For rig-talk, for whatever reason, I think 'Explorer'. Maybe because it is vintage but modern looking at the same time and mostly rock oriented?

Yeah, I always feel the need to JO horns when they are rounded as well. Good call there, better go pointy to suppress the urge.

Had to choose offset here. I'm really not sure what you mean here but the ESP MV series I consider offset and that is my favorite shape of all time.

Otherwise superstrat would be.

Classic shaped Explorers are still my favorite, tbh. Well, after the Warlock. I used to be a fan of traditional Vs but lean more towards pointy ones like the RR, KK, etc... I don't know what it is about pointy Explorers, but it gives me uncanny valley vibes when I myself would figure that I would be into them more ?‍
Star/X shapes I can go either way. Like a more rounded ML or one of Ola's are good with me.

Not a huge fan, I think they're cool in a bass format.
But I def appreciate anything that has personal blood and sweat put into like MadAsAHatter has.
