In a past forum, they had a sub for those whom partake of cannabis.

Not looking for political discussions, or moral or ethical either, for that matter.

It's fully legal where I live, including recreational, so I am well within my local and state laws, so we are clear.

I have been growing and working in the industry for almost 20 years, legally....and maybe some before. Oops.


Just thought I would see how many canna lovers there are here!

Good old departed Donnie B/Achilles was a fan of my stuff, and we discussed it from time to time.

I won't blow my load all at once, as it's off season for me and I delete my pics all the time.

Just looking for my tribe so to speak.

Ask questions if you like, I may answer them. ?

Been doing it indoor and out for over 30 years. Outdoor used to be so fuckin hard but now it's legal here so backyard grows are a breeze! Homemade hash is the shit.

I have a wide variety of mother's that I clone from. Not really super high test like some of the newer strains but that's fine by me. Great taste and plenty buzzy.

I was worried I was the only one!

I don't mess with cloning anymore. Just seeds for me....no issue sexing here. ?

I also dabble in auto flower, due to my climate, and am seeing good results with that.... especially when spreading out the trimming chores.

I'm not a percentage chaser, I appreciate a good full spectrum, high terp, organic...taken at just the right time.

Don't chase size ..but my plants are usually pretty large.

I'll post some pictures soon....and all season long.

Nice to meet a fellow grower/enthusiast.

When are they going to make a strain that does not induce panic.
When I smoke weed, the following happens.
1. Stomach moves up in my chest
2. I can feel the veins in my neck pulsating
3. Switch to manual breathing
4. Think about unemployment, foreclosure, death

Then I think to myself "I though this shit was supposed to make you relax?"

Yeah I know about the Indica vs. Sativa thing. Doesn't matter with me. Same effect.

Not sure but couch lock weed has always helped my anxiety and insomnia. That up buzz shit makes me panic.

It's all about the alkaloid makeup of the weed bud. See what I did there?

For the purposes of your issue, it's easiest to break them down into 2 categories:
Anti-psychotic
"Psychotic"

The "anti" alkaloids give you positivity / laughter and often a warm, fuzzy feeling.
The "psychotics" are pretty-much the opposite - paranoia, anxiety, listlessness...

So again, it's all about the particular makeup of any given strain and harvest / curing practices.
 
I should say that I gave up 10 years ago. I put it down to the psychotics.

Couldn't have even a tiny toke without my depressing past jumping straight into my head. After years of this reaction I'd simply had enough.
 
Shit ..don't know how...but missed all these comments.

Know a few that are the same way, 2 tokes and then they cannot relax.

Combinations of compounds, and our our biological make up have a lot to do with it. Also, our diet and physical health.

Sounds silly, but in these instances, I usually condone a deep dip therapy. Ingest as much as possible.....and ride it out.

I found that the more elevated ones therapeutic level, the less paranoid one becomes with normal use.

So imbibe heavily, to enjoy lightly....seems counter intuitive, but it works. Your body deals with it better, and then you can enjoy it more with light use.

But....I have been a major cannabis partaker for over 25 years, since my discharge from the service.

Also make extracts and hash....so I have gone well beyond....so maybe I'm the wrong person for this.

Even the same strains, from different growers, can have different effects. As mentioned previously above, by others, many factors.

Sometimes, cannabis isn't needed, or for everyone. It's cool.

I don't grow because I don't have to. My buddy grows more than we would ever need. He has been perfecting his strain. Basement closet with lights, climate control, watering system, fans, etc. He just gave me another glass jar full. What will I ever do? The shit I bought in NYC made my wife and I crazy on our last trip there. Psychosis weed :mad:

It actually is very tasty.

Had a celebration of legends garden this year.

Sourced some older strains to see what all the hubbub was about. Also did some newer style too. Variety is the spice of life and all.

This one almost tastes like pineapple. Very citrus, but not sharp....nice mild and full. Good morning strain. It gets a lot of compliments from those that have had it.
 
Time to start ordering seeds for next season.

We have some favorite ones, and some stock left over from last year, so I need a few ideas for new strains to try.

OK, so I can't recommend anything specific but I asked my buddy what all he's had (given me) over the years. The list is longer than I expected. I call it all 'happy weed', ie - low paranoia/max pleasure.
