Spent the last couple of days reworking the rack portion of my amp shelving to make room for the Cornford/road cases and finally got around to putting the Delisle amp switcher I picked up from @stratjacket into the mix and wiring it up. I forgot just how much of a cabling nightmare these things are. This one has the "effects loop" option too, which means I need to build two more cables per amp and add that to the spaghetti that's already there if I want to utilize it. :bash:

I've got everything I need to build the cables but where can a fella get good ~6' long straight end premade cables from that won't break the bank? I have a feeling that if it's left to me to build cables, I'm not to going to be using the effects loop input on this thing. :ROFLMAO:

Hope the switcher is still working out.

Castline cables is what I use. They make premade cables using Mogami, have a couple choices of the type of cable for each length, but all mogami. Pretty good prices when compared to others and mogami branded ones. I have a ton of them over the last few years and they hold up.

yup ....... some serious feet of cable ... I have the Delisle 4 and 4 with effects loop and cab extension ....

if you're not running buffers .... you're in trouble ....

buffers as in signal drivers ..... when I got everything hooked up .... I could barely get enough signal to drive the speaker cabs ,,,,

then I turned on the buffers on my Boss ES-8 ....... all of them ..... and ala Peanut Butter sandwiches there was my sound ....

Is that an issue with the effects loop? Just running the amps/cabs everything is good.

Not sure .... this was my experience ..... I thought the unit was defective at first ....

I'm running a huge board with mostly true bypass pedals on it .... probably why it was happening till I turned the incoming buffer on and the outgoing ...
