probably similar; that was CIA; this is big pharma advertising $ to get their version of the "truth" supported in the media most likely IMO.

I don't watch TV at home, haven't had cable in close to 15 years, usually when traveling for work and stuck in a hotel I'll turn on the TV...and I'm amazed at the number of big pharm commercials on every commercial channel.

Yep. Tells you all you need to know. AFAIK, the US is one only a few countries that allow Pharma-ads.
