I’ll probably never own a fender, and fuck Gibson. The biggest piece of shit I’ve ever owned was a Gibson.

That GFM is long depleted on everything but gear. But yeah I’m lucky folks actually took care of me fear wise.
No sweat, just poking fun. I don’t have an opinion on Tyler’s but it does look sweet.

My main is a PRS Custom 22 which I love, and the rest are a couple strats, super strats, and a tele. I’ve spent most of my guitar playing experience chasing after amps, so there are a lot of holes in my guitar collection. Here’s what’s remaining on my guitar list.

1. LPC - Black

2. Ibanez Jem - White and Gold (I love how ridiculous and bombastic this guitar is, like it was designed by a televangelist’s interior decorator)

3. PRS Custom 24

4. 335

Custom 22s are disgustingly underrated. Owned one I regrettably sold. Owned a bunch of 24s since then and do not like them at all.

Yeah man, I’ve had mine since the late 90’s and it’s been my #1 ever since. It’s got a wide fat neck and it’s honestly one of the best feeling and sounding guitars I’ve ever picked up. It’s why my guitar collection has always been so sparse. That PRS doesn’t lack anything I want from it and it’s completely suited to the way I play. It makes “guitars” for me more or less a solved problem. Anything else I’ll own will be to fill niches and that kind of thing.

I had a 97 stoptail but it was a rare spec with a wide thin. Those dragon I pickups were cool. Probably my favorite era of PRS. Newer ones feel really brittle and bright. I found the 2005-2011 singlecuts to be really dull and sterile though too

Honestly, the first thing I did to my PRS was take out all the electronics and put in EMGs. That’s sacrelidge to a lot of PRS dudes but while I loved the way the guitar played and resonated acoustically, the pickups while sounding good for what they were, didn’t fit what I was doing, so I changed them to something that did and never looked back.

You won't catch flack from me, I love EMGs. Aside from the dragon I there aren't really any PRS pickups that I like. It could just be the guitars but they're really bright and they have a weird brittle tone to them. They feel really neutered to me.

One of these. Fully hollow, Spruce top, only ~100 made between '58-early 60's in all configurations. They sound absolutely amazing. A little out of my price range though.

OMG! THIS^^^
That’s only the second one of those I’ve ever seen! I would love to find one of those but I seriously doubt I could afford it. They sound amazing. Not a metal machine but I have plenty of those. I don’t have anything that sounds like that does. It’s been 30 years since I saw the other one, I really had no idea how many they made I thought it was strictly a custom order for some heavy hitter back then.
The amp he’s playing it through is perfect for it too…

Check this out. George Gruhn and Eric Ernest...probably the two biggest experts on these. I love how George won't let it go; "Why the fuck didnt Gibson use this design in a single neck?". I embellished George's quote there.
