Vai's work on there is great, not even debatable. Roth though...c'mon man...lets be real.

Even back then when I bought the cassette, I heard Shyboy and thought "oh cool...a rehash of Hot For Teacher but Roths version"

The Cherone album is killer .just not normal vh
Bit for what it is fuck me . Ed’s rhythm player was as good as ever . The riffs mutated so crazy it was unreal

I'm with you man. I thought "Fire in the Hole", "Once" and a few of the other songs were great. I really respect Cherone for attempting that. Even though people didn't dig a lot of it, he dove in knowing he would get compared. He remi ds me of when Corabi joined the Crue. Never going to be able to overcome the history.

I dig most of the Van Halen story except the end. EVH's playing and impact deserve way more than the past few years. There should have been a huge tribute concert and more importantly, a chance for all of the guys to get on the stage together. Egos.

A few of us mentioned what a great idea it would be to have a place for all things Eddie where it’s easy to access concert footage, gear talk, interviews, unreleased recordings and whatever else Eddie fans get a hard on Sammy and Michael would dig, but it just has never happened

What if I said I listen to Hagar’s pre VH material more than VH altogether? I love Montrose and solo Sammy. I really like Roth era VH. I don’t care for Hagar era VH.
