My Earthquaker Devices Dispatch Master arrived yesterday and I could not wait to give it a try.
I have owned this pedal 3 or 4 times in the past and for whatever reason I kept selling them?

I currently have 4 other delays:
Boss DD8 - has a reverb/delay setting, but you can't adjust the reverb.
MXR Carbon Copy Mini - has a modulation setting, but I am not a fan of it.
Donner Yellow Fall - -Budget analog delay tones
Donner Wave - Budget Digital delay tones

I just want a pedal that gives me Delay and reverb in one pedal to fatten up my sound, add some very subtle ambience.
I don't like my sound to be too washed with delay or reverb, I just use it to add a little something.

What I immediately loved about the Dispatch Master is how easy it is to dial in a great tone, I just put all the knobs at 10 o'clock and there it was.
If you want a little more presence, just turn the Mix Knob to noon. It is that easy.
I know this pedal will be a keeper.

Right away I wanted to compare it to my other delay pedals so I did a 4 part video...

You can decide for yourself which is best, none of them sound bad and I could easily use any of them at a gig:

The DM was my # 1 for about 6 years. Now I prefer the Boss SDE-3. The DM was miles better than most of the Boss' I compared to (DM-2W, DD3-T, and DD8). The DD-200 was really good though.

The SDE-3 is perfection........WHEN THE TRAILS MODE IS BYPASSED! Engaging trails (buffer) gives it some qualities I didn't like in the aforementioned small form Boss pedals. Mine is always on, so it doesn't matter to me.

I could go back to the DM and be fine, but the SDE-3 is just more versatile. I have since offed a few Strymons, a Benson delay, and various less costly delays.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Stay with what you know you like.

Very cool A/B comparison vids here! I am a big fan if the DM. Always sounds good - very clear and transparent. Compared with the DM, other delay/verb stomps in a comparable price point have a bit of a harsh or 'artificial' nuance that I do not get with the DM. My only complaint is that I wish it was possible to set the Reverb and Delay levels independently. It actually does a fine job of balancing both effects, but I have wound up with less pleasant overall sound by auditioning verb/delay pedals that have more adjustability. I have yet to try the UA DelVerb - that one is on my list.

The Delverb looks cool, but I also keep looking at the SA Collider for a Delay / Reverb pedal.

You can set the reverb and delay settings separately, but the mix you can't unfortunately

I have a bunch of delays and they're all cool in their own way and bla bla bla......I don't need another delay. An SDE-3 will be here tomorrow. What the hell is wrong with me?

Those look great! I did the same thing, except with a SDE-3000D, lol.

Trust me I considered it. My minimal amount of self control and common sense prevailed......for now.

I had like 4 of these at one point. One of my favorite FX pedals. Recently switched my boards over to the Eventide Blackhole. I like being able to have different presets for different things, but one of my presets is dialed to be pretty similar to what I used the DM for.

After some time with all of them I can say the Dispatch Master is my #1.

I really liked my dispatch master. Don't know why I sold it years ago. After reading this I will have to get another one.

Just when you think you're the only one that does foolish things like that, I'm starting to learn to never sell anything.

LOL, I just sold my Friedman JJ Junior Combo.
I will never learn.

Dispatch Master is a staple 'always on' in my rig. I have a couple backups in case main one breaks

I have my DD8 and MXR Carbon Copy mini as backups, but I might buy a 2nd Dispatch for my vacation home
