I watched the other day and it's hilarious what he says about Kirk Hammet. Kirk must have heard his earlier playing where his vibrato was still shrill and very fast and liked it because he based his whole style around that lol... so true. Kirk's vibrato is horrendous and always was novice regardless of how well he played or wrote solos on various albums.

I watched this the other day. pretty good interview but what amazed me is he didn't bring up his brother. The other guy did and it didn't turn negative.
Usually he goes on a rant about Rudolf.

I watched that video and really enjoyed it. But I must’ve missed the part about Kirk H? Is that in this video or a different part of the interview?

I don't care what anyone says about Kirk.
Listening to Justice album ripping moto into work and its fucking awesome!
Been fucking awesome since the day it came out!

try around the 37 min mark in this video - it's the full vid of the snippet in the OP

Kirk has the worst vibrato in rock BUT there is no denying how good a job he did on all those albums up to the Black Album. He made those pentatonics work for him. Marty redefined that whole scene on Rust in Peace though.
