Not sure if you’ve heard @braintheory play classical, but he’s pretty damn good
I haven't but I've heard he's good. I actually started on my Dad's gut-string and learned Bouree before I learned Sweet Home Alabama. But I'm a lefty that plays righty and my right hand sucks.

Some of them are tandems because i'm a songwriter just as much as a lead guitar player.

You can hear all of these guys in my playing to various degrees, from leads to riffs, they are all mixed into the blender

1. Jon Schaffer of iced earth. His rhythmic and melodic sense informs everything, and is at the base of what I write. He's widely regarded as the best rhythm guitar player in metal by everyone who understands it isn't a popularity contest for a reason. You really get a sense of just HOW TIGHT his right hand is, watching them play live. This isn't the studio trickery "tight" of modern tech-death - this is the real deal.

2. Jon Drenning/Ben Jackson from Crimson Glory. Their sense of harmony, flow, and melody writing/song structuring is everywhere in my music if you listen. Like Schaffer, they don't even need solos most of the time because the harmony is so pervasive throughout the songs.

3. Kai Hansen/Michael Weikath from Helloween. The power of the melodic riff, and adapting neo-classical harmony into metal. They took what yngwie did and made it simpler technically, but more complex melodically and structurally

4. Brett Gurewitz from Bad Religion. You don't need to be Steve Vai to make leads sing. Check out the simple clarity of this solo.

5. Yngwie. He is a huge influence on a bunch of my main influences. Oddly, it's not his solos that influence me most, but his sick ass riffs and recurring motifs. Check the sense of groove and the harmonic minor goodness.

Hetfield
Slash
EVH
Hendrix
Hmmmm...who could the fifth be? It's like it's right on the tip of my tongue but I just cant think of who it could be. He would have to be an ace player to hang with those four.

When I first started playing it was a few local musicians at the shows I would go to. And while big name guys like Hendrix, Townsend and Zappa inspired me I'm not sure they really influenced my playing. But Gary Holt and Sammy Duet come to mind. Love each for riffage, tone, style...

EVH
George Lynch
Eric Johnson
Steve Vai
And only slightly less so;
Allan Holdsworth
Yngwie
All the gang from Shrapnel’s golden era 86-91-ish
DT/Splatt
Dino Cazares
Devin Townsend
Meshuggah

Whoever would be on my list, I'd LIKE to put my brother VonBonfire on there, but he doesn't seem to post any clips so I can ascertain if he should be on my Mt Rushmore.
If tomorrow night pops off ok I should have something acceptable for you to watch this weekend.
