I bought this new in 2024, and it started out life as an HSS model. I purchased a new pick guard and installed two EVH Frankenstein Classic humbuckers, which are at about 8.2K each. Three way switch, volume and no-load tone. Alder body, dark ebony fret board. Plays and sounds wonderful. The only reason I'm, not calling it mint is there are a few scratches on the pick guard from playing. I do not have the original pickups, which were garbage sounding. I can throw a case in for an extra $100, as these were not shipped with a case.
The pickups are the hot PAF EVH models at about 8.2K each. Not as thin or stringy as the Duncan 78s. Warmer. Very versatile, and with the right amount of gain it can crank.
