Africa was one of the last areas that did not use GMO Terminator seeds. Once those non GMO seed lines are gone the farmers must buy from the big AG companies every year. Bill Gates has all those natural non GMO seed in his Norwegian seed vaults though........
No doubt. I have a friend in blue water shipping that used to deliver relief food/aid to Africa in the mid 2000's. He told me they have amazing food in Africa but the problem was a lack of infrastructure to get it to the people there. Seizing private farms is going to be an absolute disaster for South Africa.
Mexico has many varieties of heritage corn/maize and have resisted the move to make it all GMO. The hopis also have their heritage blue corn. There are a lot of small gardeners keeping it alive.
