I guess he couldn't take them with him.

Never seen a brinks truck following a hearse ......DLR

I'm hoping he had plans in place to keep the collection together. He wanted to build a museum. If they get sold, hopefully they don't disappear into some vault.

I thought it was awesome he had people playing a lot of those guitars once in a while. I'm not sure that'll happen again. They'll probably be collecting dust in a museum somewhere.

If I was gonna die, and had that absolutely crazy collection...at my death I would pick all of my good friends and influential people in my guitar life and bring them to my funeral. After my :30 speech which I gave in hidden costume to none of your moronic avail..I would burn all of the guitars in a pile.

I'd make them bury them with me.

going to be many guitar / amp / instrument collections coming to market as more of us pass away...

Yes. I want my final resting place to be comprised of musical instruments from dead guitarists percieved to be influential in a 30 year period, from a resale auction market. I wonder..when the Egyptian rulers looked toward the stars, could they ever ponder such magnificent wonderment?

No. They couldn’t.
