I have a chance to trade for a Wizard Metal 100W, but I can’t find much info on it. Has anyone here tried the earlier Metal 100? I believe it’s made early 90’s. Photo’s just for reference, not the actual one.

They are not like the current MTL's. Loud i believe and much less gain if i remember correcxtly

My first Wizard was one of these. Bought in the early 2000’s and had Rick go thru it and do some mods. Wonder what the serial number is?
Pull boost on the bass and a pull gain boost added on the lead channel and tube buffered fx loop.
Similar gain to my MC1, brighter. Much more Marshall than the current stuff.

Thanks for the input, that’s what I was told on other forum. Thought it would be close to the newer models.
Sounds great, didn’t ask about the serial number but I can check.

@SBlue may be able to help. I think that is his old one - or at least he had one just like it. He can tell you all about how it compares. He really liked it. It's currently up in Canada, I think.

Someone posted an email from Rick who seemed to say it was a prototype Metal. Kinda between a MC1 and Metal.
Not sure of the details.

My MC1 is like that. I had some stuff from my Metal incorporated in my MC. Turned out great.
