I believe MXR makes the horizon device pedals, though I’m not sure what that actual relationship looks like.

Appears to be owned by Misha Mansoor and partnered with MXR to have them built at some point. Will research and update if needed.

Technically if we follow the money Gibson should be under private equity- KKR & Co. Inc. (Whos been working on keeping their shareholders happy since 2018 😃🙄…)

Fender should be under- Servco Pacific

But that’s a conversation for another day… 🤫

Maybe just an interesting point but Kiesel owns Carvin guitars but Carvin owns Carvin amps and everything else.

Not sure one the puts and takes of that.
He gave the Carvin side to his kids and kept the guitar building under his name.

Personally, I think it's wise to separate the two. His guitars are alright. Anything he did with electronics is hot garbage. So many dead Carvin amps out there.

Thanks for pointing that out. After a deeper dive - you are right. I think it is safe (and easier) to just say Kiesel owns Carvin.

For a few years I ran a bi-amp rig with the RL1000. It sounded ok with a 410/118 stack, but it was tricky to get right on stage. The best bass rig I ever ran is the one I kept. SVT II non pro/ fridge.

I had a great Carvin 6 string bass. KOA LB76. And I still have a great Carvin guitar. TL60.

Same. SVT 2 Pro and 8x10s. I had the step down from that (RL600?) and couldn't jive with it.

I had a Carvin 6 string fretless that I flipped that was nice. I had a 4 and a 5 string at one point too. They were nice, but Spector is nicer.

There was a Carvin 8x10 at a local Cincinnati venue (well, some dude's house) that I used that sounded great. The next time we came to town, it was blown. I said, "Ah, yes. Carvin." I had to drag my 8x10 down into that basement, but I let every band use it. DIY shows are fun like that.

I landed on Spector as well.

The old Carvin cabs with the 10” Eminence drivers were good. When the OEM replacements started coming from China they sucked. I blew a brand new one on the first outing. That’s when I started buying 810cl cabs.

The Bi-amp rigs were more trouble then they were worth and the Ampeg rigs sound so much better.

I thought that was BlackRock?
Nabisco owns BlackRock, but Keebler is the parent company of them all. Everything is being controlled by this fucker here...

Blackrock is the largest asset manager in the world. However their 10 trillion in assets are just holdings for their private investors. Much like Vanguard (#2) or Fidelity (#3). They themselves don’t own the shares. However shareholders do get to cast votes & I’m sure blackrock casts votes on their investors behalf’s via proxy. They just make mad commissions & management fees from the volume they have. There’s a lot of misunderstanding about them owning the market. In the US stock market alone there’s $52 trillion in the worldwide market there’s $124 trillion. $10T is significant but even if that was their personal money they would still have a long way to go for a 51% tilt. Enough about those boring bastards. Back to gear shopping. :)

Trying to keep within the commonly known where possible. The second I add investors (while some are not possible to not to) people will start asking why all of their investments aren't on the list. :ROFLMAO: Trying to keep it simple/to the point where possible.

@NowYou'rePlayingWithPower
Heritage guitars makes Harmony guitars also and they are connected to bandlab/ cakewalk also

Apparently Bandlab Technologies is the parent company. Do they make Harmonies at the Heritage plant? Always thought the moderns were imports.
