That Silver Sky SE sounded pretty good. The NF3 is cool, but I don't like the pickups. Not enough top end for me. If I had one, I'd try wiring the pickups in parallel to see if they suited me. If not, I'd order a new SSS pickguard and slap 3 noise cancelling DiMarzios in there. If you can't or don't want to drop the coin for a USA model, the SE's do a fine job and if you don't like the pickups, heaven knows there are a million choices out there.

tl;dr version for those that are truly interested in this kind of shit: Jump to 12 min to hear all 4 strats back to back and then the PRS follows that.

Guess what? The PRS didn't sound as 'stratty'. Go figure. Glad I'm good at scanning videos to save time.

I like some PRS guitars like the McCarty but that headstock on a strat body is just wrong.
I have to say though, the SE guitars that I've played have been pretty decent. A lot of bang for the buck.

Agreed. I played an SE in a local shop a while back, and it felt good enough that I had to double-check my pants weren't tan.
