I hope you have an air-raid shelter on your property cuz dRump bombed Iran.

Except Boston. And y'all rank pretty low on gun rights. Lots of unconstitutional gun laws.

And your taxes are high as hell. As to your standard of living I wouldn't know. You seem ok with it. I'm ok with mine.

Taxes pay for the things that make it nice to live here. All the things I listed earlier is a good start to maybe learn both a little.

And ya know who doesn’t give a shit about owning lots of guns? People who don’t plan on using them.

But anyways, keep grasping at straws to shit on me like the state I live in and a city that’s hours away from me lol. I had eggs for breakfast today, maybe you guys can work with that?

I’ll give you some time to work it out

I wasn't shitting on you dumbfuck. You read like a child.

See this is what people mean when they accuse you of playing victim. Re-read my post. It wasn't a dig.

States with the highest standards of living have the highest taxes and most liberal governments the problem is a lot of Americans don't value standard of living above personal and financial freedoms. I know I sure don't.
The cycle around here seems to be graduate highschool and get the fuck outta here to experience other areas.
Then settle down and realize it’s nice idea to have your family somewhere safe and has options for education, so we move back
Then empty nesters float around for a bit and then come back when they are old because they want access to good healthcare with little wait times.

Typical stupid MA take. Fucking brainwashed i swear. Taxes are collected, but the roads are shit, infrastructure is falling apart. Energy prices skyrocketing. MA citizens want a financial audit of the legislature, but the legislature refuses to grant an audit.
Why do you think that is?

lol right right. You’ve never took a dig at me. Fucksakes bro
I didn't say I never did. That post I just listed a couple facts and then summarized it with you seem happy with it. Definitely wasn't trying to dig on you about where you live Dan.

I guess everyone places value on different things. For me it's weather, freedom, and opportunity with less regulation involved. That definitely incurs longer summers and greater risk as a trade off.

Because politicians are assholes?

I’ve never felt to urge to own a gun, so I can’t really say I’ve ever felt the slightest hint of regulation keeping me from doing anything. The DEP makes my job harder sometimes, but I think that’s an ok thing

Sure are. Seemingly everywhere. That doesn’t keep MA from rating higher than the other states with shitty politicians
I never said it did. I wasn't ( and haven't been ) wading into that argument. Just questioning the politicians being assholes thing.

People prioritize. I like where I live, you like where you live.

It's not just the guns it's state income taxes, property taxes, and building codes. I could not move into the Berkshires, place a Lowes order, and do what I did here without submitting plans, applying for build permits, having inspectors clear the work. In short, there is no allowance for self-contracting in a lot of states. It's what keeps me away from FL. They have the guns but they have really tight codes on account of hurricanes, which has the net effect of people buying double wides instead of building permanent structures due to costs and bureaucratic hassles, which in reality puts more people and property at risk.

the "higher rating" is a fallacy politicians push to keep those tax dollars flowing right into their pockets.

The now required "green construction" is the real grift. Costs 8x more money than conventional construction. Somebody is making huge dollars off it, you can be sure about that.

Except I never bring up where you guys live. That’s just a thing you guys do as I said before, to grasp at straws

I didn't bring up where you live. I mentioned Boston, in the context of a current conversation. And I may tease you about living in someplace with a totally gay name like The Berkshires once in awhile, but I don't pretend to know anything about where you live.
